Hannah Selden is the visionary behind Aerial Arts Studio, established in 2019 after nearly a decade of leading Pole Dynamics, her first studio founded in 2010. With roots in pole fitness dating back to 2005, Hannah’s journey has evolved into a deep passion for aerial arts—particularly Pole Dance and Aerial Silks, her signature discipline.

A lifelong dancer trained in tap, modern, ballet, jazz, contemporary, and commercial styles, Hannah’s competitive spirit and artistic flair naturally led her to the performance arena. She has competed across the UK, earning titles and accolades, and now lends her expertise as a judge at prestigious events such as Pole Theatre UK and the UK Aerial Performance Championships. Today, she finds immense joy in mentoring the competitive team at Aerial Arts Studio, who continue to shine on national stages.

You’ll mostly find Hannah teaching Adult Intermediate & Advanced Aerial Silks, Children’s Advanced Aerial Silks, and coaching the Competitive Team performers—where her technical precision and supportive energy help students thrive both artistically and athletically.

Before fully dedicating herself to her studio, Hannah built a meaningful career in education. She qualified as a secondary school Dance Teacher and later specialised in supporting children with ASD, ADHD, and Down syndrome. Her commitment to inclusivity and empowerment has shaped her teaching philosophy—ensuring that children with additional needs can access enriching activities and develop vital life skills. Hannah holds a National Diploma in Dance, a BA (Hons) in Dance Studies, and QTS status. Her extensive qualifications include certifications from Acrobatic Arts, XPERT (Pole Fitness Levels 1–4, Children’s Pole & Aerial, Silks), and Spin City (Aerial Hoop).

She is First Aid trained, Enhanced DBS checked, and fully insured to teach across aerial circus, pole fitness, acro, and dance disciplines. Her additional training in Safeguarding and Autism Awareness further reflects her dedication to safe, inclusive practice. As a mother of three, Hannah brings a nurturing, intuitive approach to her teaching. She fosters strong relationships with families, champions each student’s progress, and ensures that Aerial Arts Studio remains a safe, supportive, and inspiring space for all. Sarah Walkerdown

I have been a teacher and performer for over 25 years, beginning with contemporary dance and later specialising in aerial circus and stilt walking, both in the UK and internationally. My work spans live shows, regular classes, youth groups, workshops, festivals, and schools, including Artist in Residence and Creative Curriculum programmes.
I hold accreditations in teaching mixed aerial skills, aerial yoga, and 200-hour yoga teacher training.
My classes are designed to be fun and accessible, using progressive, tailored movement within each student’s range to foster achievement. I love helping students discover what they’re capable of on their aerial journeys.
I focus on body alignment and overall mobility, with a particular interest in keeping our bodies active as we age — and I find aerial yoga to be a perfect tool for this.
